(Never Underestimate the Power of Bigfoot)
Welcome!
This web site has two functions: an introduction to the range and depth of my professional abilities, and a virtual exhibition space for the paintings and drawings I’ve made in the last five years or so.
The resume and portfolio section is not targeted towards any specific career field, but rather arranged in general categories that highlight my professional strengths. Rather than a chronological list of jobs, I’ve focused on communicating my talents and thought processes, which I’ve been able to successfully use in a wide range of settings, both personal and professional. If you are interested in a more traditional resume as well, feel free to contact me and I’d be happy to send one along.
I'm not currently exhibiting my work in any brick and mortar space, so the gallery portion of the site is likewise expansive and wide ranging. Part of my recent practice has been a conscious effort to increase the range and scope of my work (otherwise known as "Drawing Whatever the Hell I Feel Like Drawing at Any Particular Moment"), so you’ll find a wide range of subjects, styles, and media. As with my professional experience above, feel free to contact me for any questions about specific details.

About the Artist
David Allan Wells is an Exhibition-Free™ artist and teacher living in Chicago, though he does also visit friends in Chengdu, China, from time to time. His visual interests include infrastructure, narrative forms, cheesy seventies science fiction, and the possibility of Bigfoot. Though he hasn't yet had a gallery show in this century, he has studied at Real Art Schools, and is Facebook friends with several Famous Artists who have genuine art careers. On Instagram, his posts of three daily random pictures sometimes get more than ten likes each! |
